A Guide to Beam Welding Systems

Horizontal beam welding systems and column & boom beam welding systems for H, I and box beams: a selection and usage guide.

Beams used in steel structures, vehicle chassis and machine building need long, continuous seams. Beam welding systems complete them at high speed with minimal distortion.

Horizontal beam welding system

  • Welds vehicle chassis, H, I and box beams.
  • A tack mechanism makes tacking before welding easy.
  • Welding under hydraulic press jaws keeps distortion to a minimum.
  • Two surfaces can be welded at the same time.

Column & boom beam welding system

Welds parts that have already been tacked: linear seams with travel movement, and plate joints with torch movement on the boom.

Beam positioners

C type, U type and portable beam positioners rotate long parts for easy access to every face and reduce dependence on the overhead crane.
